Trespassing - Christies
DotPigeon
July 2022 - New York
In July 2022, we proudly presented DotPigeon’s debut sculpture, The Worst is Yet To Come?, as part of Christie’s third edition of Trespassing, an exhibition curated by Ronnie K. Pirovino. This groundbreaking exhibition explored the intersection of graffiti and contemporary art, featuring works by renowned artists such as KAWS, Banksy, Invader, Hajime Sorayama, Javier Calleja, and Shantell Martin.
DotPigeon’s sculpture—a black-painted resin figure poised to throw a Molotov cocktail—marked a significant evolution from his digital practice. The piece encapsulates the artist's signature themes of inner conflict and societal tension, reflecting on the uncertainties of contemporary life.
Trespassing was accessible both online and in person at Christie’s Rockefeller Center galleries from July 13 to 21, 2022, offering collectors a unique opportunity to engage with works that challenge traditional boundaries between street art and fine art.
