CB Hoyo X Casa Cipriani
CB Hoyo
10 June 2024 - Milan
On the occasion of the inaugural edition of Arte a Casa, the cultural program launched by Casa Cipriani Milano, we were invited to take part in a group exhibition that brought together 29 artists selected by 25 of the city’s leading galleries. Hosted within the refined setting of Palazzo Bernasconi, the project aimed to establish a dialogue between contemporary art and the intimate, elegant atmosphere of the members club.
Plan X contributed with How would they know (2023), a text-based painting by CB Hoyo installed in the Living Room lounge. In his signature blend of irony and critique, Hoyo’s work questions the mechanisms of value attribution, authenticity, and perception within the art world—offering viewers a sharp yet playful reflection on the absurdities of contemporary culture.
Alongside CB Hoyo, the exhibition featured works by some of the most acclaimed names in modern and contemporary art, including Lucio Fontana, William Kentridge, Monica Bonvicini, Francesco Vezzoli, Ettore Spalletti, John Armleder, Claudio Parmiggiani, and Chantal Joffe. This diverse selection created unexpected encounters between generations and practices, highlighting the richness and dynamism of Milan’s art scene.
