DREAMING IN DAYLIGHT
Dreaming in Daylight considers imagination as a force capable of acting upon reality. It does not replace or deny it, but shifts it, expands it, and opens it to new forms.
The works in the exhibition begin with recognizable elements—figures, landscapes, architecture, animals, and references to art history—which are transformed through painting, digital construction, and invention. What belongs to the visible world is reorganized, removed from its original context, and placed within images that follow their own logic.
The title emerges from this condition. Dreaming in daylight means imagining while remaining within the present. It is not about entering a separate dimension, but about observing how the world around us can change when it is shaped by desire, memory, and fantasy.
Giuseppe Lo Schiavo constructs digital environments in which nature and architecture meet in spaces that belong to no precise geography. Lennart Grau draws on figures and gestures from the history of painting, transforming them through color and the movement of the surface. Asif Hoque creates scenes populated by figures, animals, and symbols that bring together personal experience, myth, and identity.
Although they work through different languages, the three artists share an understanding of the image as a space of possibility. Not as the representation of a world already given, but as a place where the world can take on new forms.
