Nik Kosmas

Nik Kosmas (b. 1985, USA) lives and works between Berlin and Shanghai. From 2006 he was one half of AIDS-3D with Daniel Keller, a duo that helped define post internet art and whose work entered collections including the Kunstverein Hannover. His own practice runs through technology, physical experience, suffering and growth, drawing on science fiction, science, sports training, sex and psychology, and it has taken in exercise equipment, sculpture and collaborations outside the art world, among them Balenciaga.

His work was included in The Generational: Younger Than Jesus at the New Museum in New York and in the 9th Berlin Biennale, in the Internet Pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale, in Art Post-Internet at UCCA in Beijing and in Emerald City at K11 in Hong Kong. He has held solo exhibitions at Temnikova & Kasela in Tallinn, and has exhibited at König Galerie in Berlin. In 2022 he guest edited a section of Numéro Berlin.

In 2022 Plan X presented Stars in Your Eyes in Milan.
